The FabLab Festival is looking for Europeans, living in Toulouse, to play a vital role in showing the public that wonderful ideas come from all over Europe.
As a festival Ambassador you will be a part of the team that will be promoting the different aspects of the festival. The whole FabLab movement is about collaboration. We want to gather all European FabLabs for the first time to encourage international projects.
Your tasks would include calling or emailing the FabLabs in your country of origin to invite them to the festival in May, as well as communicating with FabLab Artilect in Toulouse, to let us know if these other FabLabs are interested in attending or presenting at the festival.
To become a festival ambassador is really easy. It is open enrollment, you just have to sign up in the google form to be recontacted by e-mail, there’s no selection test to take to become a volunteer or a member of our staff.
We will provide you with the list and contact details of FabLabs we would like you to get in touch with. Communication tools necessary for promoting the festival are on our website. You will be recognized on our website for your support as a community partner.
If you wish you can make a little video (in the language you speak in your home country) in which you talk about Toulouse. You can talk about what you like about Toulouse, what surprised you when you arrived, etc. This video would be posted on our website so that people who are also from your home city or people that speak your native language can learn about Toulouse and fablabs.
In addition to the opportunity to meet makers, artists and CEO who are shaping the future, we would encourage you to think about an object or special sentiment that would identify you as your country’s ambassador and use machines from Artilect FabLab to create it.
You want to join ? Just fill the google form and join us on 23rd February (27bis Allée Maurice Sarraut, 31300 Toulouse) in order to visit the FabLab and know more about the festival and volunteers crew. See you soon !
