Anne Cambon-Thomsen, MD, immunogeneticist, specialised in human biology and health ethics, is Emeritus Director of Research at CNRS in a joint Unit on epidemiology and public health between Inserm and Université Fédérale Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées, France where she leads a societal platform.

She contributed to the study of human genetic variation in populations and diseases and to transplantation immunogenetics, then worked on societal aspects of biobanks, biotherapies, genetic testing, biomarkers, data sharing policies and biotechnologies.

Her work on bioresources led to the BRIF (Bioresource research impact factor) international initiative. With experience in national and European ethics bodies and in ELSI aspects of numerous projects, she directs since 2015 the Common Service ELSI of BBMRI-ERIC, a European infrastructure on biobanking and biomolecular resources.

She is the Champion for ESOF 2018 in Toulouse.
